Yes, speed is quite important in this year’s competition! Two teams fight during a heat that last 4 minutes. To score points, a robot must put a ball in a goal that is the colour of his team. To change the colour of a goal, a robot must activate the switch that is connected to said goal. If all the goals are the same colour, the game ends, even if there is still time left. At the end of every heat, every robot receives points for its team, which will be added to the final score.
The competition does not end there. Actually, every robot will be judged for its programming and for its different driving capabilities. The fastest and most performing robot will earn the most points, so if a robot works very well, but is in a less performing team, they would not be penalised as much. |
